Stand Clear Video Installation

I want to invite you to the opening day of my four channel video installation Stand Clear at the Harvestworks Art and Technology exhibition at Governors Island, Building 10a, Nolan Park, Saturday May 28, 2022 from 11 AM until 5 PM. Exhibition will be up every weekend until Aug 7.

Shot over four years and digitally manipulated, it is a love letter to the NY subway system as a place of shared humanity, chaos and stillness.

Originally presented as a single channel video ( State of Rest and Motion) at the Museum of Modern Art’s Documentary Fortnight, it has evolved into a different viewing experience. One that allows viewers to watch in a more interactive way as the images shift and change from screen to screen.

State of Rest and Motion

New Video Completed!

After two years of shooting and one year of editing I have completed “State of Rest and Motion” a 13 minute impressionistic observation of the riders on the New York City subway.

This video has a few short clips from the finished work.

Music for the opening and rain/snow sequence is by Hadvis.
